2 lb (1 kg) fresh PEI Mussels
2 Tbsp (30 mL) olive oil
1⁄4 cup (60 mL) green onions, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can (19 oz/ 540 mL) tomatoes, drained and chopped
1⁄2 cup (125 mL) dry white wine or chicken stock
1 tsp (5 mL) dried basil
1⁄4 tsp (1 mL) tabasco sauce
1 tsp (5 mL) balsamic vinegar
1 pinch salt and pepper, to taste
1 package pasta of choice
